Intimate elopement portraits are my favorite sessions to photograph for so many reasons! It really allows the couple to be relaxed, be in the moment and enjoy time with one another.
Selco and Kristina wanted the same thing. They wanted something simple, intimate and something where they could focus on each other. Selco is also my first cousin, so they decide to travel to Michigan from North Carolina, so I could capture their day along with Shadow Shine videography. They both got ready for the day at my home and we started with their first look at the Amway Grand Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids. We then walked over to the Old Civic Auditorium and got some amazing shots on the staircase as the sun was casting a warm light onto them.
We finished our time together at Cherry Valley Resources, which is a local gravel pit but I swear it looks we shot out West somewhere! They both were laughing, smiling and so into each other the entire time. We all never stoped smiling! We had them pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate being newlyweds as the sun was setting. Such an incredible time, with two incredible happy and in love humans.
